A Hands-On Professional Experience
KDVA interns contribute to real projects involving research, writing, communications, social media, academic collaboration, and major events supporting the ROK-U.S. Alliance.
Interns have opportunities to develop professional skills, make contacts, work with experienced KDVA leaders, and contribute their own ideas and perspectives.
The program also helps introduce a new generation to the people, issues, and institutions that support the enduring ROK-U.S. Alliance.

KDVA's Internship Program combines professional development with meaningful opportunities to support the organization's mission and the ROK-U.S. Alliance.
Opportunities range from flexible research and writing projects to hands-on support for KDVA programs and events.
Internship Opportunities
KDVA interns can contribute through research, writing and communications or through direct support of KDVA events.
Research Assistant Internship
- Research topics related to the ROK-U.S. Alliance.
- Write articles for KDVA publications and communications.
- Contribute content for KDVA's social media platforms.
- Support social media and communications efforts.
- Work with experienced KDVA leaders on research and writing projects.
- Participate through flexible hours and telework opportunities.
Event Management & Support Internship
- Provide on-site support for senior-level KDVA events.
- Assist with event planning, preparation, and execution.
- Participate in KDVA events and programs.
- Take notes and draft executive summaries.
- Interact professionally with staff, honorees, volunteers, vendors, and members.
- Support event opportunities in Washington, D.C. or Seoul.
Internship Eligibility
KDVA welcomes applicants who are interested in learning about and contributing to the ROK-U.S. Alliance.
KDVA Members
Regular KDVA Members are eligible to participate in the Internship Program.
Associate Members
College students interested in the ROK-U.S. Alliance may join KDVA as Associate Members. Membership is free.
Family Members
Family members of KDVA Members and Associate Members are also eligible. Applicants must be at least 18 years old.

Successful interns bring enthusiasm, professionalism, curiosity, and a willingness to contribute.
Ready to Learn & Contribute
- Enthusiasm for the ROK-U.S. Alliance and KDVA's mission.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Interest in social media, communications, technology, strategy, and innovation.
- Strong writing and research skills for Research Assistant interns.
- Professional poise and interpersonal skills for Event interns.
- Ability to work with staff, volunteers, honorees, vendors, and KDVA members.

Flexible Opportunities
Internship experiences vary by role and may include flexible research assignments, telework, or short-duration event support.
Academic Credit
Academic credit may be available depending on the requirements established by the intern's school.
