Membership
Is KDVA only for Veterans?
No. KDVA welcomes people who support Veterans and the ROK-U.S. Alliance.
Regular Membership is available to those who meet KDVA's qualifying military, DOD, KATUSA, and ROK government service requirements. Associate Membership is available to adults and college students who support the Alliance but do not meet the Regular Membership requirements.
Is KDVA membership free?
Yes. There is no cost to join KDVA.
Can active-duty U.S. military personnel become members?
Yes. Current U.S. military personnel who meet KDVA's Regular Membership requirements are eligible to join.
Those who do not meet the Regular Membership criteria may be eligible for Associate Membership.
Can active-duty ROK military personnel join KDVA?
KDVA's current Regular Membership criteria include qualifying retired ROK military personnel. Current ROK military personnel should review the membership requirements and applicable ROK regulations before applying.

Can I join if I never served in the military?
Yes. Adults and college students who support the ROK-U.S. Alliance but do not qualify for Regular Membership can join as Associate Members.
Is KDVA only for Korean people?
No. KDVA brings together Americans, Koreans, Veterans, Service Members, families, students, and other supporters of the ROK-U.S. Alliance.
Why should I join KDVA?
KDVA membership provides opportunities to connect with others who care about Korea, Veterans, and the ROK-U.S. Alliance.

I'm not a senior military leader or expert. Will I fit in?
Absolutely. KDVA is a broad community of Veterans, Service Members, families, students, professionals, and Alliance supporters.
You do not need to be a senior leader or expert to participate and contribute.
I'm already a member. Where do I log in?
Members can use the KDVA Member Portal to manage their membership information and access member resources.
KDVA Organization
Is KDVA a Korean organization?
KDVA is a U.S.-based nonprofit organization registered in Virginia with a community spanning the United States and South Korea.
Is KDVA a military organization?
No. KDVA is an association that brings together Veterans, Service Members, families, and others interested in supporting the ROK-U.S. Alliance.
What is KDVA's mission?
KDVA's mission is to enhance the Republic of Korea–United States Alliance by advocating for the Alliance and supporting the people who built and serve the Alliance.
How are KDVA programs supported?
KDVA works with partners and supporters who help make its programs and activities possible. The Korea-US Alliance Foundation (KUSAF) is a major partner supporting KDVA's mission and programs.

How can I get involved with KDVA?
KDVA offers a variety of ways to participate, including volunteering, events, Chapters, Campus Clubs, internships, research, writing, and other programs.
Does KDVA have an internship program?
Yes. The KDVA Internship Program provides opportunities to gain professional experience while learning about and contributing to the ROK-U.S. Alliance.
Can I contribute an article or story to KDVA?
Yes. KDVA welcomes perspectives and stories from Korea Veterans, families, partners, members, and supporters of the Alliance.

Where can I find past webinars and educational resources?
KDVA provides videos, educational materials, articles, and other resources through its online library and educational programs.
How can I find upcoming KDVA events?

How do I receive KDVA announcements and event updates?
Joining KDVA is one of the best ways to stay connected with Association news, programs, and event announcements. Members can also update their information and communication preferences through the Member Portal.

Does KDVA have local Chapters?
Yes. KDVA Chapters bring members together through local events, Meet & Greets, professional connections, service, and shared support for the Alliance.

What if there isn't a KDVA Chapter in my area?
