Helping Our Community Move Forward
Education opens doors to personal, professional, and economic opportunity. The KDVA Impact Scholarship Program helps KDVA members and their families pursue their educational goals while continuing to support our Veterans and the ROK-U.S. Alliance.
Scholarships support coursework at accredited colleges, universities, and trade schools.
Scholarship Eligibility
KDVA Connection
Applicants must be KDVA members, including Associate Members, or the spouse, child, or grandchild of a KDVA member. Stepchildren are included.
School Acceptance
Applicants must be accepted into an accredited college, university, or trade school.
Academic Requirements
Applicants must be high school graduates with a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
How to Apply
Application Checklist
- Completed application form, including a written statement of need and an essay.
- Official academic transcript(s).
- Proof of matriculation at your designated accredited academic institution.
- A list of extracurricular activities, including leadership and community service.
Essay Question
“How would you start and run a KDVA Campus Club at your school?”
Scholarship Application – due December 2, 2026.
Submit your complete application package through KDVA’s online application. KDVA will inform scholarship recipients by mid December 2026.

How Funds Are Used
Five scholarships of $2,000 each will be awarded. Funds are sent directly to the academic institution for documented expenses and must be used in 2027.
Scholarship funds cannot be used for prior academic expenses.
What Recipients Provide
Selected recipients provide a photograph and statement for KDVA publications, newsletters, website, social media, and other marketing materials.
Recipients also provide follow-up information and feedback about how the scholarship supported their education, for KDVA research and marketing.
