Welcome to Korea Defense Veterans Association!

(Message from the Desk of the Chairman)

General (Ret) Walter “Skip” Sharp

Welcome to the Korea Defense Veterans Association (KDVA). On behalf of the Board of Directors, thank you for your willingness to support strengthening and sustaining the great alliance between the Republic of Korea (ROK) and the United States (U.S.).

KDVA Vision: become the premier professional nonprofit organization promoting a strong ROK - U.S. Alliance and honoring those who have, and are serving, in Korea.

As a member of the KDVA I look forward to your support as we strengthen the ROK - U.S. Alliance through the following:

• Programs that facilitate education, discussion, exchanges, and research on ROK – U.S. Alliance topics of interest vital to both countries and those who served in the Republic of Korea.

• Programs to educate the ROK and U.S. populace on the importance of the ROK – U.S. Alliance and the sacrifices of those armed forces personnel who have, or are serving, in the Republic of Korea.

• Charitable programs to honor and remember the sacrifices and contributions of armed forces personnel who have, or are serving, in the Republic of Korea.

• Programs to highlight the historical significance of the Korean War and perpetuate the legacy of the Korean War veterans.

We are currently a young association but with your support we will meet our commitment to keep the alliance strong and resilient through the 21st Century and beyond. As a member, you enjoy access to our website; will automatically receive organizational and information updates; and receive notice of upcoming events.

Planning is currently ongoing for future gatherings and events that will demonstrate the capability of the KDVA. We are establishing our social media footprint and look forward

to your observations and recommendations on how we can improve support to the Alliance.

Thank you again for joining us on our journey to making the KDVA the premier ROK-U.S. Alliance support organization.

Respectfully,

Walter "Skip" Sharp
